“Art From the Soul: A Refreshing Perspective“

This new exhibit is open to all NOVA fine artists and will start Tuesday May 28, 2024 ending in August 2024. Our gallery encourages free creativity; therefore, there is no exhibit theme. We will be accepting applications until May 24, 2024. Acceptance notices will be sent out on May 26, 2024. Delivery of art for the new show will be on Tuesday May 28, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MAY 28th IS THE TAKE DOWN OF THE EXISTING SHOW, SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY ART IN EXHIBITION IT MUST BE PICKED UP THAT DAY

This exciting art venue is open to the Fairfax community 7 days a week. The Sherwood Center’s weekly series of cultural, public and private events generates an estimated 1.500 visitor’s traffic for the exhibit.

Exhibit Application Form
Please read the Exhibit Rules , there will be no exceptions, any artwork not complying with the rules will be automatically disqualified.
- These exhibits are open to all Northern Virginia’s artists. Artists may submit up to 5 original pieces of artwork by the deadlines included in your invitation email.
- Please fill and submit the exhibit’s application form below.
Note: Should you have any problems, please email .jpgs of your work with details of artist’s full name, art title, medium, size, and price for each entry to ovigano@artcofair.org.
- After submission, you will receive an email containing a link to the upload page. Use the link and upload images of the artwork that you wish to show. You should receive a reply within a few minutes. If not, please make sure that the replay email has not been redirected to the “junk” or “trash” files.
- Hanging fees per piece of art are $8.00 for members of the Artist Coalition of Fairfax, and $10.00 for non-members.
- In addition, there is a $10.00 contribution for the exhibit’s reception.
- The City of Fairfax will collect a 30% fee on any sale.
- Artwork for this show will be limited to a maximum of 70 pieces. Therefore, not all the pieces submitted might be accepted.
- Submitted images shall include the author, name of the artwork, medium, size and price.
- Minimum size accepted is 16X20 inches, large sizes are preferred.
- All participants are required to sign a City Of Fairfax Art Agreement.
- Check your invitation email for date and time for delivery of artwork and show hanging.
- All artwork UNLESS SOLD must hang at the exhibit until the end date.
- Please read the Exhibit Rules there will be no exceptions any artwork not complying with the rules will be automatically disqualified.
- The exhibit will hang for three months. A final end date is contingent on Sherwood’s space availability and rental schedules.
